BRITISH world champion Anthony Joshua will fight Kubrat Pulev at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday 20 June. Bulgarian Pulev, 38, is the mandatory IBF challenger to take on Joshua, who holds the WBA, IBF and WBO titles. Joshua won back the belts with a unanimous points victory over Andy Ruiz Jr in December. “I am happy to have the opportunity to show the world how strong I really am,” said Pulev. It will be Joshua’s first fight in the UK since beating Alexander Povetkin at Wembley in September 2018. He was initially due to fight Pulev at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium in October 2017 but the Bulgarian withdrew after suffering a shoulder injury in sparring, with Carlos Takam stepping in to replace him at 12 days’ notice. Coronavirus : United Nations Releases $15m to Vulnerable Countries

The World Health Organisation (WHO) reported that the United Nations has released 15 million dollars emergency funds to help vulnerable countries fight coronavirus (COVID-19) The Director-General, WHO, Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus, disclosed this on the agency’s twitter handle, @WHO, on Monday. Ghebreyesus said that the potential spread of COVID-19 to countries with weaker health system was one of the agency’s biggest concerns. He said: “WHO thanks UN Humanitarian Chief Mark Lowcock for releasing 15 million US dollars from the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) to help fund global efforts to contain the COVID-19 virus. We thank the agency for releasing the fund to help weak countries battle the spread of the virus,’’ he said. WHO is calling for 675 million dollars to fund the fight against coronavirus. AN Igando Customary Court in Lagos on Monday dissolved a 24-year-old marriage between a 47-year-old pastor, Gbenga Aina, and his divorced wife, Damilola, over allegation of adultery. The president of the court, Mr Adeniyi Koledoye, in his judgment, said that it appeared the couple were tired of the marriage. He also said that all efforts to reconcile them failed. “Since both parties have consented to the dissolution of their marriage, this court has no choice but to dissolve it,” Koledoye said. “The court hereby pronounces the marriage between Mr Gbenga Aina and Mrs Damilola Aina dissolved today. Both of you, henceforth, cease to be husband and wife.” Koledoye said that Gbenga, the petitioner, should  be responsible for the feeding, education and general welfare of the three children produced by the marriage, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
